Uczestnicy i uczestniczki pod okiem prowadzących odwiedzą wystawę oraz wezmą udział w warsztatach artystycznych inspirowanych twórczością Katarzyny Serkowskiej, artystki tworzącej w nurcie bioartu.
Podczas zajęć dzieci wysłuchają opowieści o Meduzie – zwierzęciu mocy, a także o sztuce pokonywania żalu i smutku, o akceptacji przeciwieństw losu i przetwarzaniu ich w wewnętrzną siłę. Z przygotowanych materiałów stworzą własne meduzy, które zabiorą ze sobą do domu. Kontakt z wystawą wzbogaci ich wiedzę i pozwoli im lepiej zrozumieć koncepcje artystki.

Inspiracją prac Katarzyny Serkowskiej są emocje związane z poczuciem osobistej straty. Tworzywem artystki stały się m.in. łzy, które w jednej z prezentowanych instalacji (nawiązującej do wiktoriańskich łzawników) ze znaku żałoby zmieniają się w symbol mocy pokonywania smutku, stają się punktem wyjścia do tworzenia nowego życia.

Jak jest różnica pomiędzy przemocą, agresją i terrorem? Jakie są współczesne formy przemocy, agresji i terroru? Jakie warunki muszą zaistnieć, aby sprawca/cy czuli się bezkarni? Jakie są relacje ofiar/y z oprawcą/cami. Jakie są skutki przemocy, agresji i terroru? Czy jesteśmy w stanie im zapobiegać? Jeśli tak, to w jaki sposób?
Przegląd prac wideo nadesłanych na konkurs 15 IN OUT Festiwalu, które nie znalazły się w konkursie głównym, a których wspólnym mianownikiem był temat przemocy, agresji i terroru. Prace ukazują przemoc z perspektywy artystów, którzy nie tylko są jej świadkami, ale również często ofiarami. Jednym ze sposobów przepracowywania doznanych traum jest dzielenie się swoimi doświadczeniami. Podczas przeglądu będzie można także zobaczyć prace, które nie tylko są analizą współczesnych form przemocy i agresji, ale również manifestacją wspólnoty z pokrzywdzonymi i uciemiężonymi. Podczas przeglądu przedstawimy współczesne formy przemocy, agresji i terroru nie tylko w Ukrainie i Białorusi, ale również w Azji czy Ameryce Południowej.
Na konkurs organizowany w ramach 15 Festiwalu IN OUT 2022, którego tematem przewodnim był relacja obrazu ruchomego z designem, nadesłano ponad trzysta sześćdziesiąt prac, z czego znaczna część nie dotyczyła tematu przewodniego, a poruszała temat przemocy na świecie.

Wystawa „Akwa Afekty” Katarzyna Serkowska
Opowieść o poszukiwaniu ekspresji dla emocji – uwięzionych w wodzie. Łzy, które są wyrazem straty, włączone zostają w obieg natury i otwierają nowy cykl. Jest to też opowieść o naszej więzi z naturą, odwieczną cyrkulacją w niej zachodzącą, będącą źródłem siły, odnowy i wewnętrznego wzrostu. W prezentowanych instalacjach artystka wykorzystała biologiczne medium, jakim jest woda, woda z jej ciała (łzy) i żywe organizmy — rośliny. Artystka połączyła naukę z mitologią, bio-art z symboliką. W swoich pracach poszukuje powiązań człowieka z naturą, więzi dających poczucie sensu i definiujących ludzką egzystencję.
Wystawa jest częścią programu Inkubator CSW ŁAŻNIA i realizowana jest w ramach nagrody przyznanej artystce przez CSW ŁAŹNIA w konkursie Najlepsze Dyplomy Akademii Sztuk Pięknych 2022.

As part of the Night of Museums 2023, two courses of educational workshops for children will be held at CCA LAZNIA 1 – for the younger (5 pm) and older group (7 pm). Participants under the guidance of the leaders will visit the exhibition and take part in art workshops inspired by the work of Katarzyna Serkowska, an artist who creates in the bioart genre. „When everything seems dark, scary, you don’t know where it is going or how it will end – get introduced to the power animal MEDUSA” (Maria Bucardi).
During the class, children will listen to the story of Medusa – the power animal, as well as about the art of overcoming pain, sorrow, accepting the opposites of fate and transforming them into inner strength. From the prepared materials young participants will create a jellyfish according to their own creative concept, which they will take home with them.
Contact with contemporary art in the form of an exhibition and subsequent artistic activities will enrich children knowledge of art, allow them to better understand the artist’s concepts and spark their interest in contemporary art.

What is the difference between violence, aggression and terror? What are the modern forms of violence, aggression and terror? What conditions must exist for the perpetrator(s) to feel unpunished? What are the relations of the victim/s with the perpetrator/s. What are the effects of violence, aggression and terror? Can we prevent them? If so, in what way.
An overview of the selection of video works submitted for the 15 IN OUT Festival competition, which were not included in the main competition, and whose common denominator was the theme of violence, aggression and terror. The works show violence from the perspective of artists who are not only witnesses to it, but also often victims, and one of the ways of working through the traumas they experience is sharing their experiences. During the review, you will also be able to see works that are not only an analysis of contemporary forms of violence and aggression, but also a kind of manifestation of community and support for the injured and oppressed. During the review, we will present contemporary forms of violence, aggression and terror not only in Ukraine and Belarus, but also in Asia and South America.
The competition organized as part of the 15th IN OUT 2022 Festival, whose main theme was the relationship between the moving image and design, received over three hundred and sixty works, most of which did not concern the main theme, but touched on the topic of violence in the world.

The End of Violence is a drama published by Bogna Burska and Magda Mosiewicz in 2016. Today, in 2023, it is still painfully relevant. Can violence be dealt with systematically? Could Polish women and Poles create a safe state together? We want women to have a say in this matter.

„Akwa Afekty” by Katarzyna Serkowska is a story about searching for expression for emotions – trapped in water. Tears, which are an expression of loss, are included in the cycle of nature and open a new cycle. It is also a story about our bond with nature, the eternal circulation taking place in it, which is a source of strength, renewal and inner growth. In the presented installations, the artist used the biological medium of water, water from her body (tears) and living organisms – plants. The artist combined science with mythology, bio-art with symbolism. In her works, she looks for connections between man and nature, ties that give a sense of meaning and define human existence.
